Having your day in Court is one of the most important Charter Rights we have here in Canada. Exercising that right is available to any Defendant, and should be considered carefully when deciding how to proceed with your charge.

Many Defendants have never been to Court before, and are unfamiliar with the legal system. It is important to familiarize yourself with the legal process, before you decide what your next step might be.
